Few people outside of the Rastafari movement knows who the Honorable Leonard Howell is. Yet, it was Howell, a Garvey follower, who identified JAH Rastafari's as the Black Messiah.  
 
Howell, along with Rastafarians throughout Jamaica were imprisoned, persecuted, and murdered as they fought for their indigenous sovereignty against Bustamante's and the British Colonial stronghold on the children of enslaved Ethiopians; a struggle that continues to this very day.
 
While imprisoned for Sedition, Leonard Howell wrote, "The Promised Key" a book highlighting the supremacy of people of Ethiopian descent.  
 
Howell's book and his legacy is a must read for all children of all African/Ethiopian descendants and prisoners of colonialism.
